Release Notes: April 27, 2026

This latest update for Balance focuses on two core pillars: making our platform more inclusive for all users and tightening the gears of our administrative workflows. From WCAG-focused accessibility enhancements to a more robust security posture, here is what’s new.

Accessibility

Our accessibility updates help meet WCAG standards more effectively.

  • DataTable Enhancements: We’ve added more accessible "clear" controls for searches within DataTables. This ensures that users relying on screen readers or keyboard navigation can reset their views effortlessly.

  • Grid Hardening: Our team is conducting an ongoing investigation and deep-dive into our static grid components to ensure they remain stable and navigable for all assistive technologies.

Usability & Workflow Efficiency

We’ve streamlined several key administrative areas:

  • User Management: Admins will notice a smoother experience with new role filtering and impersonation support specifically for Fund Reporting users—making troubleshooting and support much faster. This help article provides a walkthrough of this new update.

  • Smarter Reporting: We've updated reporting filters with improved defaults for Fund Profile filtering, helping you get to your data with fewer clicks.

  • Impact Integrations: We’ve addressed sync reliability and refined bulk import behaviors to ensure your data stays consistent across all workflows.

  • Automate Imports: We've added efficiency with automated data imports that allow you to establish a secure, hands-free connection between your systems and the Balance platform. Start this process by reading this help article, then reach out to your Balance Implementation Contact.

Security & Performance

This update includes a significant push to address high-priority focus areas:

  • Access Controls: We’ve tightened permissions to ensure data remains in the right hands.

  • Asset Cleanup: By removing unnecessary static assets, we’ve reduced our attack surface and improved the overall security posture of the application.
