Use this import to upload historical transactions to funds PRIOR to the Balance start date. Please reach out to support.balance@evertrue.com if you're unsure of your start date or have questions on using this import.

Please Note: If you are using the Expendable Funds Module, the Transaction Activity (Historical) template is also used to import expendable fund transactions. The Transaction Type must match expendable transaction types in your database.

1. Go to Import/Export. Click the 'Create new import' button.  

   

     
2. Select the "Transaction Activity (Historical)" import type from the drop down and click the Continue button. 
    
3. Download the Transaction Activity (Historical) template.
   
   
4. Populate the template with transactions for posting periods prior to your Start Date. Transaction Type, GLID and Amount are required fields.

5. Column A/TransID: Use this column to update existing historical transactions. The TransID can only be found by creating a User Defined Report using the Transactions or Transaction Details in Date Range data source and including the TransID field. 6. Once you've completed your template, save locally and use the Browse button to select the file to be uploaded. Once the file has been selected, click on Upload to bring that file into Balance.  
    
7. The imported transactions will appear in a table. Review the transactions and click the Approve import button. A popup will ask you to confirm approval of the import. Click 'Yes, approve import' then you'll receive a confirmation that the import was approved and records were updated.

Deleting Import File

You can delete the transactions posted via the Transaction Activity (Historical) import by deleting the import file.
