How do I edit or delete transactions?

There are a couple of ways to edit or delete transactions, depending on how they were entered into your database. It is important to note that records can only be modified if they have not been posted. If you want to delete transactions in prior periods, you need to reopen the period to delete them and then reconcile the periods forward.

 

Start by navigating to Accounting in the menu on the left side of your database. On the Fund activity page, choose the parameters for the transactions you're looking to edit or remove.  Here you have the ability to enter a range of dates or choose specific transaction types in the drop down, or both!  Click Load records, then Edit or Delete the rows that need to be modified. 

If your data was entered via an Import, you're able to delete the file activity by navigating to the Delete file activity tab on the Accounting page, choosing the file, and hitting Delete. Deleting the file will delete all associated transactions (only in the current open period).
