Transitioning to the Fund Reporting Role
This article has instructions and details into the transition from the Department Site module to the new Fund Reporting Role.
The first step is to set a date to make the transition. Once we have the date set, you'll need to communicate this change to your current department users. Here's what they'll need to know:
- They will be logging into your regular Balance database using the same link as you.
- SSO users will log directly into Balance and do not need to change passwords.
- Non-SSO users will use their same username, but will need to use the Forgot Password button on the login screen to reset their passwords the first time they log in. Instructions to reset their passwords can be found here.

And that's it! Your department users essentially just need to be informed of the change and provided instructions for logging into the new platform. All current assignments will carry over as-is, so you won't need to do anything as an administrator besides communicate with the users.
